George Zimmerman has a new website up following his first television interview since the killing of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman appeared in an exclusive television interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Network on
The mission of website therealgeorgezimmerman.com is to provide a “voice for George Zimmerman, identifying and correcting misinformation and be used as a “venue where George’s supporters can offer words of encouragement and financial support.
Zimmerman penned an open letter on the site where he thanks his supporters for helping him during the “most difficult time” of his life.
“I have been charged and arrested for murder,” he wrote. “I have been accused of being a racist, and my family and I have to live in hiding because of threats against my life.”
“I am not a murderer, and I am not a racist,” he said.
Zimmerman wrote he wants his website to serve as a venue where people can send him “words of encouragement” and donate to his defense fund.
Though George Zimmerman’s original website was ordered shut down, he may have found a loophole. While Zimmerman asks for donations, he links to the site gzdefensefund.com, which is operated by a “third-party administrator.”
Zimmerman is asking for funds again because he is alleging he is once again broke after paying “$100,000 to a bondsman and almost $50,000 in security expenses,” according to his website.
