John Boy released a vlog early Wednesday detailing his departure from Soulja Boy’s label SODMG.
The vlog comes a day after Glory Boyz Entertainment rapper BallOut released an SMS from John Boy, saying, “I left Sodmg bro I’m not label mates wit no fuckin opps. I really fuck wit you niggas I ain’t on that shit. Let ya squad know. #Salute”
“I’m done with SODMG. I’m no longer a member,” the “Real Shit” rapper said. “I’m taking my talents to South Beach.”
John Boy’s Twitter mentions exploded with accusations of disloyalty from followers.
John Boy addressed these accusations, saying, “At the end of the day, yall don’t know half of the shit, man. I ain’t speak to Soulja in two months. I been really ways from SOD, but I’m just now letting it out after what happened yesterday.”
He commented on the souring relations between Soulja Boy and the GBE camp acknowledging it played a factor in his decision to leave.
It was originally reported BallOut stole Soulja Boy’s chain during an alleged robbery at the SODMG front man’s home.
“I fuck with GBE niggas. Them and Soulja got problems, but at the end of the day you gotta realize that shit was between BallOut and Soulja Boy. BallOut took Soulja chain. Whatever the case may be. That’s they business. When it’s time for Soulja to get his shit back, Soulja Boy wanna get everybody that don’t fuck with GBE to kind of fight his battle.”
John Boy explained Soulja Boy had an opportunity to ask for his chain back, but acted cowardly.
“Yall was in the studio,” he said. “You face to face with BallOut. You wanted you chain back, get your chain back. Don’t ask for other niggas to help you fight. He face to face with you. He told you whatever the case may be, bruh. That’s what its gotta be.”
John Boy said a slew of artists have left the label due to Soulja Boy’s selfishness. John Boy named a list of departed artists that include Lil’ B, Riff Raff, D. Flores and A-Rab, to name a few.
“No artist on SOD ever got love back from Soulja, ever,” John Boy said. “Niggas don’t make money from Soulja. Soulja don’t cut no checks or no fucking deals. You have done nothing from me bruh but post 15 tweets from me.
“Yall ain’t see a single from me from Soulja Boy yet. You dig what I’m saying. I stayed loyal to this nigga, dog.”
John Boy said he has gotten more love from GBE than Soulja Boy.
“I’m not dick riding GBE. GBE kept it real from the gate,” he said.
John Boy mentioned that Chief Keef used his phrase “Geesh” in the intro of the track “Diamonds.”
“That’s love right there,” John Boy said of Keef’s gesture.
John Boy revealed he was first introduced to GBE “online.”
“When I went out there, they showed love,” he said. “We pouring up. Blowing it down.”
John Boy said there was no hassle when he asked Chief Keef to collab on a track.
He also said he shot a video with GBE members Fredo and SD.
