Comedian Cedric The Entertainer isn’t shy to rep his Kappa Alpha Psi. The “Barbershop” actor recently sat down with “What’s Up” online publication to discuss his beloved fraternity and the “Kappa Kane.”
“The Kappa Kane! I’m in the frat Kappa Alpha Psi,” the actor said. “I have been since I was a pledge in ’84 at Southeast Missouri State University. It’s our fraternity ritual to step with a cane. You do the spins, tricks and twists. I was good with mine! That is a big part of my repertoire.
“I did a show for TBS called “Urban Circus,” and I had the Kappas come out and I did the spins and twists with my cane.”
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on Jan. 5, 1911 at Indiana University Bloomington. Famous members include John Singleton, Marvin Sapp and Montell Jordan.
