It was an all Chicago affair in R. Kelly’s “My Story” remix.

Kellz tapped Chi Town natives Katie Got Bandz and Rockie Fresh for the remix to his “My Story” single.

This is a song of come-up for the artists who hail from the city, currently known as Chiraq. Kellz croons, “I went from being broke to sleeping in Versace shirts.”

Katie tells her story coming up impoverished in the projects, rapping, “This my story and I’m sticking to it/No fake shit, I really been through it/Hungry nights in the projects with no lights on, we had to sleep through it/My granny died, I damn near lost my mind/This music shit helped me pull through it.”

Maybach rapper Rockie Fresh hits the track, rapping, “These niggas aint real, check the combo/My kush mahe they shit Sinatro/Them whips and them chains what I got, but shout out my nigga Rozay, he got a yacht/I’ve been thinking about white for the whole damn winter/Might need one, two cause I’m not much of a swimmer.”

This mix comes as Kellz promotes the release of “Black Panties,” his twelfth solo album.
