Lil Bibby came in the game like Lebron James. Or better yet the XXL Freshman 2014 cypher. No one was safe from Bibby’s bars. Not even his fellow freshmen.
Rapping alongside Troy Ave, Jon Connor and Jarren Benton, Bibby proceeds to styling on everyone in sight.
The Chi Town rapper spits, “They like ‘how the f*ck is he a Freshman?’/Young n*gga spitting better than the veterans/I need the cover, why the f*ck I gotta share with them/The whole world know these boys can’t compare to him/Yeah, the kid so cocky, feeling like Ali, n*ggas can’t stop me.”
Bibby’s cockiness isn’t new.
Bibby once was bold enough to proclaim himself the King of New York City after a performance in the Big Apple.
“I’m the King Of New York,” Bibby wrote on Twitter.
Bibby’s NYC performance proved to be a surreal experience for him. Bibby was photoed gazing upon the crowd and captioned his IG post, “From the Chi all the way to NY.”
But Bibby’s proclamation made a few New Yorkers feel some kind of way, including Hot 97’s Ebro.
Ebro jokingly replied, “trolling! Hahaa”
Bibby soon changed his tune and acknowledged Jay-Z as the King.
“…Lol. We both know Hov is king,” he said.
Ebro then replied he liked Bibby.
Bibby is known to occasionally spout a bit of arrogance about his lyrical craft.
The “Water” rapper once put himself on the level of Tupac, Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z.
“Next time you mention Pac, Hova or Biggie don’t forget that nigga Lil Bibby,” he wrote.
Bibby also sparked a discussion after declaring himself the hardest in the rap game after quoting a line from Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
“Name 1 nigga out there harder than him. I’ll wait…” Bibby wrote.
Bibby is currently prepping the release of “Free Crack 2.” The project is slated to drop soon.
