It was a sad day in Chicago yesterday after the Chicago Bulls franchise player Derrick Rose was traded to the New York Knicks.
Two of the City’s top rappers, Lil Durk and 600Breezy, expressed frustration with Bulls’ decision to trade to the hometown hero.
Durk took to IG to express he would no longer support the Bulls organization.
Durk wrote, “Bulls so f*****g dumb… it’s crazy… Nomo Bulls games for me in a long time.”
Breezo called the trade a “sad moment for Chicago” on IG. The “Iceman” rapper even went as far as saying he would now support the New York Knicks.
The Knicks traded center Robin Lopez, guard Jose Calderon and guard Jerian Grant to Chicago. In addition to Rose, the Knicks also got guard Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick back to the Knicks.
Rose, who played college ball for the University of Memphis, was selected No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft in 2008.
