Maia Campbell appeared in bad shape in viral footage that surfaced over the weekend. LL Cool J posted a message on social media requesting her contact information.
The former actress has released a statement in response to LL and the viral footage.
“Hey Todd [LL Cool J], bro I love you,” she said. “I don’t need help. I just need a benefit concert for mental health. Don’t TMZ me. I’m at a shop that I temp at. We’re good. I have properties. I’m doing investments. I’m a serious person. And my show is called ‘From The Bottom Up.’”
Maia revealed LL has her mom’s number, and can reach her through her.
Footage shows Campbell at a Stone Mountain, GA gas station with Atlanta rapper T-Hood.
“You want some powder or some crack?” T-Hood asked before making a request for her to pump his gas.
Campbell, who visibly had teeth missing, told T-Hood she was raped in the footage.
LL Cool J became aware of the footage and took to social media to offer her support:
“Instead of pulling out your phone and filming someone who’s obviously having trouble. Maybe lend a helping hand? A kind word? @MaiaCampbell.”
