The mother of Massachusetts’s man shot and killed in a Harvard dorm has filed a lawsuit against the university, The Associate Press reports.
Denise Cosby blames the university for allowing a “criminal enterprise” to operate in one of their dormitories.
Justin Cosby, 21, was murdered following a drug deal gone wrong in Kirkland Hall.
Cosby and three other young men attempted to conduct the drug deal on Harvard’s campus.
Jabrai Jordan Copney is serving a life sentence for the shooting death of Cosby. He was allegedly dating a student at the university.
Ms. Cosby’s lawyers told The Boston Globe that Denise Cosby believes her son would be alive today if the school had followed its own policies.
