Young QC, born Qawmane Wilson, is currently behind bars after he was suspected of orchestrating the Sept. 2, 2012 murder of his mother Yolanda Holmes. Wilson was charged with murder and home invasion in Holmes’ death.
Following Holmes’ death, QC was very active in decrying violence and made appearances at a “Stop The Violence” rally and Hadiyah Pendleton’s funeral.
Pendleton was killed Jan. 29 only a week after performing in President Barack Obama’s inaugural events when shots rang out in Harsh Park. The shooting occurred just a mile away from Obama’s Chicago residence.
“ME AND MY HOMIE @djfreakymike AT THE STOP THE VIOLENCE EVENT,” the caption on his IG post read.
QC, who has his mother’s name inked on his right shoulder, spoke with WGNTV news regarding the circumstances of his mother’s death at Pendleton’s funeral.
“My mother, she was a neighborhood woman… a guy entered home and murdered her…just to steal,” he said.
QC later publicized his appearance on the news station on Twitter, saying he had to support because he, too, “lost family to gun violence.”
“AT 15 YEAR OLD HADIYAH’S FUNERAL R.i.P I’VE LOST FAMILY TO GUN VIOLENCE SO I HAD TO SUPPORT,” he wrote on Twitter.
Wilson wasn’t alone in his mother’s murder plot. His accomplices include Eugene J. Spencer, 22, and 23-year-old Loriana D. Johnson.

Spencer, the alleged the gunman, is charged with first-degree murder, home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Johnson, who allegedly served as Spencer’s driver, was charged with murder and home invasion.
All three allegedly admitted their roles in the crime. Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. ordered all three held without bail, according to the Sun Times.
Holmes, 45, was found stabbed and shot to death about 4:15 a.m. inside her home following a struggle that ensued between Spencer and her boyfriend, according to the Sun Times. The boyfriend was pistol whipped during the fight before Spencer escaped.
Young QC was the sole beneficiary of Holmes’ assets and two life insurance policies, the Sun Times reports. He liquidated $90,000 from his mother’s bank accounts a week after he murder.
QC didn’t waste any time living a life of luxury with the money received off of his mother’s death. QC knowingly showed off his newfound wealth via his social media accounts, which includes three luxury vehicles.
QC also had an affinity for Nike Air Jordans as he occasionally splurged on multiple pairs of the name brand sneakers.
The young stunter was additionally fond of spa treatments and shopping sprees.
“SLIGHT THIS MORNING GOING TO GET MY WEEKLY MASSAGE
“IIGHT DON’T MAKE ME GET ON SOME MATURE SHIT
“BUTTONED UP, BRAIDED UP, SHOPAHOLIC
“MY FAVORITE STYLE EVERYTHING CASUAL NOTHING CHEAP
“VERSACE MEDUSA HEAD SMH I RATHER GO BUY IT THAN KEEP REPEATING IT,” the captions on the posts read.
QC didn’t find any issue flossing his cash and making it rain.
QC recently celebrated his 24th birthday and mused on what he should do to honor his day, saying he would “kill em” by doing it big.
“WELL GOOD MORNING TODAY IS BIG DAWG BIRTHDAY (me) LOL I PLANNED ON DOING NOTHING BUT EVERYBODY KEEP TELLING ME TURN UP BUT I LIVE EVERYDAY LIKE ITS MY B DAY ANY WAY. MIGHT BUY OUT A WHOLE CLUB TODAY MIGHT TURN MY 3 CARS INTO 4 MIGHT FLY ME IN A FOREIGN BITCH FROM ANOTHER SRATE….SHIT IT IS MY DAY I MIGHT AS WELL KILL EM,” the caption on the post read.
Young QC was multi-talented and expressed himself as an aspiring musician, dancer and actor.
As a musician, Young QC released numerous songs, including “Wet Wet” featuring 3motions; and “Dancing Like She In Heat” featuring DJ Nate.
QC was skilled in hip rolling and boasted his dance skills by entering dance competitions.
QC dabbled in acting and produced his very own show “The Nick Story Ep. 1.”
QC asserts he gave back with his money.
“I don’t play no games, man. I do this for real,” he said. “I don’t got no problem with giving back. I’m the only one out here with a show that’s actually giving back and I got proof to show it.”
Holmes, a popular owner of Nappy Headzsalon in Uptown, was very involved in the community, hosting community events that included back-to-school parties for children.
