Colorado shooting victims Jamie Rohrs and Patricia Legarreta were invited on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” to share their story on surviving the deadly theater shooting that left 12 people dead and 58 injured.
Rohrs and Legarreta attended the screening with their two small children and witnessed the mayhem that ensued.
As chaos erupted, Rohrs placed his baby son Ethan on the floor and jump over a balcony before fleeing the theater and driving away.
Legerrata was left in the theater and shielded her children from the spray of bullets that zipped all around her. Legarreta and her children were saved by 19-year-old Jarell Brooks who took a bullet while guiding them to safety.
Piers Morgan took to Twitter to call Rohrs survival story “incredible.”
“Jamie Rohrs, victim of shooting, in tears as he tells @piers,organ how he scrambled to save his two young children in #theatreshooting,” Morgan tweeted.
“What an incredible, harrowing, shocking interview with Patricia Legarreta and Jamie Rohrs,” Morgan wrote. “So glad they’re alive.”
Though he helped Legarreta and her children to safety, Brooks was not invited to an interview. Brooks is currently recovering from his gunshot wound to his thigh.
