Jonathan Adam Lecompte tragically lost his life after allegedly trying to stop a carjacking last month.

Lecompte can be seen in video firing shots at a man hopping in a truck before it reverses. The man in the truck then speeds forward striking Lecompte.

Lecompte was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was 38.

The suspect Ricky Alex Driggers has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted common law robbery among other charges.
