Hip Hop chief Rick Ross recently gave back to his hometown for the Rick Ross Charities Sixth Annual Toy and Food Give Away, according to Maybach Music Group.

Rick Ross, along with Senator Oscar Braynards II and former New Orleans Saints cornerback Mike McKenzie, orchestrated the event for Carol City residents.

The event is held yearly by the Miami native, in addition another charity “Be Out Day.” This charity provides Carol City residents students with school supplies.

Ross enjoys the event because he finds joy in giving back to his community.

“Every year, I just think of different ways we can do more and more, but I know this right here is important because it’s right in the heart of the city,” he said. “It’s right here where I’m from…Carol City.”
