Yelawolf Tells MGK “If You Want It, Come Get it”

Yelawolf isn’t too pleased with comments made by Machine Gun Kelly in response to a line he rapped in the Shady 2.0 cypher during the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. MGK appeared to have taken offense to the Shady Records signee’s line “Plenty of white boys to pick from this year/But before you pick a pepper you better pick up your heater.”

Yelawolf, who claims he has never heard MGK’s music, said he wouldn’t mind going toe to toe with MGK in a rap battle.

“If you want it, come get it. Drop your verse, do whatever you want to do,” he said in an interview with HipHopDX. “If you want to take it there, we can take it there – and that goes for anybody else, too. If you’re feeling froggy, jump [expletive].”

In response to Yelawolf’s comments, the Cleveland native said his words were taken out of context and he has no issues with him.

In an interview with HipHopDX, Kelly said “hip hop doesn’t need that.”
