Big Swirl got his younger brother Rondo on the line to speak on the release of his debut album “Straight Out The Trenches.”
“Finna drop this album Oct. 31 on Halloween called ‘Straight Out The Trenches.’ Y’all better go grab that s**t, man,” Rondo said. “…I got that work for y’all. I told y’all this s**t ain’t over with. I’ll be out there in a minute going crazy. You know I’m turnt up for the streets. The streets is still Nines, man.”
Rondo was sentenced to 39 years in prison on Tuesday, July 5 for the 2014 murder of cab driver Javan Boyd. He is serving his time at Menard Correctional Center in Menard, IL.
Rondo’s projected release date is Feb. 24, 2056. He is eligible for parole on Feb. 24, 2053.
Menard Correctional Center, located in Chester, IL, opened in March 1878, and is the second oldest prison in Illinois. It has a population of about 3,695 inmates, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections. It is located 347 miles from Chicago, a five and a half-hour drive.
