Jackie Robinson West of South Side Chicago has momentum going into their next matchup against Nevada. The baseball team out of Chi Town’s Washington Park grinded their way to a tough 6-5 win over Mo’ne Davis’ Philly Taney Dragons Thursday night.
The team now has a rematch with Nevada today for the Little League World Series United States championship. The team previously suffered a 13-2 loss to the West Region champion.
The South Side squad is making its first appearance in 31 years in the Little World Series.
The winner of today’s matchup will represent the U.S. in competition against Japan in Sunday’s Little League World Series championship.
