Calendars were specially marked for March 3. This date was to be an unofficial holiday for Chief Keef’s sophomore album “Bang 3.”
Middle school students were so excited for “Bang 3” they decided to hit it not once, not twice, but three times for the Vine for Sosa’s highly anticipated project.
These students and other fans will now have to wait longer for “Bang 3” after Sosa announced he was delaying the project’s release date.
Sosa issued a statement in response to fans, writing, “Today I got a Call From The Label, Now they saying B3 Ain’t done yet. Now I gotta go all da way back to Cali to record.”
But Sosa apologized to fans, adding, “But I apologize, I got something for y’all!”
Sosa insinuated days ago a “Bang 3” release was unlikely after telling fans he planned to release an EP before the album.
Oddly enough, the EP was to be titled “Bang 4.”
Sosa leaked the project’s cover art on Twitter, writing, “Bang4 The EP Bfo B3.”
Sosa’s manager Peeda Pan hinted “Bang 3” might not make its release date after stating it would be an album instead of a mixtape, according to HotNewHipHop.
Sosa’s much-anticipated project was to feature production from Kanye West.
A photo surfaced in early February showing Chief Keef and Kanye West hard at work.
Pan shared this image and confirmed via IG the two were working on “Bang 3.” He captioned his post, “#Gang” and commented, “#Bang3.”
Sosa shared this image to his IG account, writing, “Almighty and Yeezus.”
“Late night Money,” he added in another photo.
Chief Keef promised “old Sosa” to fans to generate buzz. And not to mention, his claim that the project would “raise the murder rate,” according to an IG post.
“Bang 2 And Almighty So On ITunes Right Now But Bang 3 No Lie Y’all Really Don’t know How crazy Im goin #ImFinnaRaiseTheMurderRateUp
“If I’m Lien I Can Get Killed right Now this Shit Is So fuckin hardcore #ThatOldSosa #bang3 Niggas Better Be Scared,” the captions on his IG posts read.
Chief Keef’s manager Peeda Pan regarded the 18-year-old rap phenom as “so f*****g creative” during an interview with XXL Magazine.
Pan said “Bang 3” will show Sosa’s growth as an artist.
“I think people will hear his progression in addition to those elements that they wanted to hear from Finally Rich and Back From The Dead,” Pan told XXL. “That s**t is all present in his new joint.”
Sosa boasted “Bang 3” had 50 songs, including, “Choppa Has Tourette’s,” “It Ain’t Just Me Girl,” “Aston Martin,” “Make It Count” and “Dirty Thirty.”
