Swizz Beatz hinted he and DMX have new music in the works during an interview with VladTV.
The “Everyday Birthday” producer says DMX possesses a different aura that separates him from other artists.
“He represent the have-nots,” Swizz explained. “There’s a lot people that don’t have. He was their hope. X would have the whole crowd pray with him, not for him. Thugs crying, I seen it.”
Swizzy went on to compare DMX to Tupac Shakur.
“To me, he’s like the closest thing to Pac…like rebellious, the way he channels his energy, the lyrics and the things he would talk about, the book knowledge he has,” he continued. “Pac was like a political poet. X is more like a street poet…I see a lot of parallel lines with him and Pac.”
