T.I. Says Peewee Roscoe Didn’t Shoot Up Lil Wayne’s Bus

Peewee Roscoe was sentenced to 20 years in prison in November for shooting up Lil Wayne’s bus. But the former Rich Gang affiliate may be innocent.

T.I. proclaimed Peewee’s innocence during an interview with DJ Drama’s ‘Streetz Is Watchin’ Shade45 show.

“I know, for one, bruh didn’t do that,” T.I. said. “I know this. I also know that he took a charge tryna stay silent for somebody. And doing what a lot of motherf*****s out here ain’t built to do. He may not be saying, ‘Hey man, it wasn’t me, it was such and such.’ But at the same time, I know he didn’t do it. I won’t lie to you. It’s a tough spot. I still love Wayne. I still do everything I can for him. His daughter still calls my daughter. They still connect and kick it at my house. I ain’t got no beef with nobody. Nobody period. And motherf*****s know I don’t play the radio mixing me in – I tell a motherf****r straight up and down, ‘Listen, this ain’t got sh*t to do with me.’ I don’t condone this sh*t. Yall do this s**t away from around me. But at the same time I love you both. I hope both of you motherf*****s go and find something better to do with your time and your money. Should you have to do anything, do that sh*t from around me.’”

Peewee is now appealing his 20-year sentence and guilty plea.

Roscoe, born Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, filed the notice of appeal with attorney Steve Sadow in a Georgia court on Dec. 18, according to Billboard.

“The transcript of the guilty plea strongly suggests that my client was pressured, coerced into entering the plea by the comments of the trial judge indicating he would be punished or penalized severely if he did not take the plea,” Sadow told Billboard.

Roscoe reportedly pleaded guilty to five charges and was sentenced to 20 years, including 10 to serve in prison. He will be eligible for parole after serving his sentence.

Roscoe allegedly told Weezy he would spray his bus, according to an indictment obtained by WSB-TV.

TMZ reported Roscoe hinted Birdman’s involvement in the shooting.

Roscoe allegedly stated Birdman’s financial dispute with Lil Wayne led to the attempted hit. Winfrey reportedly argued, “[Birdman] should be held liable as a party to the crime.”

According to an indictment that was filed in June, Roscoe called Birdman’s cellphone immediately after the shooting.

Roscoe, armed with a .40 caliber and a 9mm handgun, allegedly drove a white 2015 Chevy Camaro onto Interstate 285 while pursuing Weezy who left an April 26 performance at the Compound in Atlanta.

Birdman and Young Thug were named in the indictment as being involved in a RICO conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne.

Roscoe arrested in May on multiple felony counts that include aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street.

Young Thug hasn’t denied his affiliation to PeeWee and even launched a campaign to free him.

“We finna start this Free Rosco campaign,” he said. “I need everybody in this motherf *cking world to say ‘Free motherf*cking Roscoe.’”

Roscoe, 25, of Atlanta, is reported to have carried out the crime to gain higher gang status in the Bloods Gang, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
