The race isn’t over just yet for Tay-K.
The controversial rap star has appealed his 55-year sentence for murder.
A Tarrant County jury punished 19-year-old rapper with a lengthy sentenced for his role in a deadly 2016 home invasion robbery that claimed the life of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, and wounded Zachary Beloate.
It took the jury only three hours to reach their verdict.
Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, was sentenced to 30 years in prison on one count of aggravated robbery and two 13-year prison sentences for the remaining two counts of aggravated robbery related to the home invasion, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The sentences will reportedly run concurrently.
Tay-K was convicted Friday of murder and three aggravated robbery charges.
