A University of Idaho football player was murdered in a party over the weekend, The Associated Press reports.
Ken McRoyal, 22, was shot and killed after attending a party in Los Angeles. McRoyal reportedly got into an altercation with a group of people at the party.
McRoyal saw playing time as a wide receiver for the university catching six passes for 35 yards.
Idaho coach Robb Akey called Mcroyal’s death devastating.
“We’ve lost a brother, a teammate, a family member,” Akey said. “But, more importantly, a momma lost her son today.”
