Chief Keef Wants Cam’ron & Juelz Santana To Reunite Dip Set

Chief Keef wants to hear that fresh Harlem sound again. The Glo Gang frontman is calling for Cam’ron and Juelz Santana to reunite the NYC powerhouse rap group Diplomats.

“I need to Get Juelz And Cam back on that Diplomatic Gang sh*t. Dipset4L,” he wrote.

Dip Set was “The Movement” in the second golden era of Hip Hop (1998- 2003). The Diplomats were comprised of Harlem rappers Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Hell Rell, 40 Cal, J.R. Writer and Freekey Zeeky.

It was when Diplomats joined Roc-A-Fella Records in 2001 that the Harlemites exploded in fame. The group’s debut album “Diplomatic Immunity” debuted at no. 8 on the Billboard 200 and sold 92,000 copies in its first week. The double-disc album featured the singles “Dipset Anthem,” “Built This City,” “I’m Ready,” “More Than Music, and “What’s Really Good” featuring DMX.

A dispute in 2007 between Cam’ron and Jim Jones led to a group split. The members have since made up and rumors of a reunion album soon circulated.
