R&B crooner Frank Ocean knows he has one supporter in his corner he knows he can depend on- his mom.

Frank Ocean’s mother Katonya Breauz Riley showed her support for her son on Twitter after he revealed his sexuality in an open letter on Tumblr.

“My son is brave and honest and I am very proud of him,” she tweeted. “I wish more people in the world could be brave enough to be who they really are.”



Riley thanked her son’s supporters and fans.

“Thank you to all who have shown love and support,” she wrote. “My son is the most incredible human I know. Honest, true and loving. We appreciate you!”



Frank Ocean has received mixed responses via Twitter on his recent revelation on his sexual preference. Ocean’s debut album “Channel Orange” will hit stores and iTunes on July 17.
