Lil Herb has postponed his much-anticipated project “Ballin Like I’m Kobe” countless times. But Herb’s latest release date appears to be official.
G Herbo took to IG to announce BLIK is dropping Tuesday, Sept. 29.
The caption on his post read, “9/25/15/ SORRY FOR THE WAIT THANK YALL FOR THE PATIENCE IF I SEE A LOT OF PPL GOING CRAZY TRENDING SH*T I MIGHT DROP EARLY ITS REALLY REAL GUYS @mymixtapez”
Lil Herb is confident his much-anticipated project “Ballin Like I’m Kobe” will be his best work yet.
Lil Herb posted an image of his slain friend Jacobe Herron onto his IG when proclaiming BLIK would be 10 times better than “Welcome To Fazoland.” Herb’s BLIK is recorded in honor of Herron.
“I LOVE YOU BRO!! #BLIK 10X BETTER THAN #W2FL,” the caption on his post read.
Herb assured fans BLIK was on the way.
Kobe was murdered Aug. 10, 2013 after he suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body. He was 21. The shooting happened around 4 a.m. outside a McDonalds restaurant in the 2400 block of East 79th Street, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Herb opened up on the murder of his friend during an interview with “Sway In The Morning.” Herb and his NLMB crew were on the block celebrating the birthday of Lil Bibby’s older brother at the time of Kobe’s murder.
“We was together. We was outside — like four in the morning – on the block chilling, shooting dice, all type of stuff,” Herb told Sway. “He just pimped off. He was always the type to not ask someone for sh-t. We got five cars out there. He ain’t ask nobody for a ride. He lived a couple blocks over….just walked off and we heard shots go off. Like a lot of shots. …We get to the scene and I see my homie dead.”

Herb originally wanted to drop BLIK on Aug. 10 to commemorate the day his friend Jacobe passed away.
“KOBE DAY IN 6 DAYS. I JUST MIGHT CRASH THE SITES… BLIK,” he wrote on Twitter.
