Lil Jay issued his latest message from Cook County in a new IG post. A photo was posted on the IG page showing a much mature Clout Lord rapper during a Cook County visit.
The message on Jay’s account read, “Clout Lord said what’s up, he’s doing well and keep him in you’re prayers. Thanks to everyone that’s holding him down…..”
FBG Clout Boy previously checked in with fans on New Year’s Eve.
“Aye man, it’s your boy Clout Lord, I’ma be back down soon,” he said. “My mama working everything on my page. Anybody tryna get in contact with me or anything, hit my page up.”
Lil Jay was expected to drop his much-anticipated “Clout Lord” album, but it was ultimately postpone. The project was to contain 15 tracks.
Jay recently gave the okay for his team to provide fans brief snippets of music from this project, including “Can’t Stop,” “Squad Gang,” “Hell Of A Night,” “Sets Up” and “On Me.”
A longer snippet of “Sets Up” was uploaded online.
Jay’s official artwork for the project features his deceased associates, including Lil JoJo, Tooka, Lil Jeff and White Boaa to name a few.
Lil Jay was charged with murder in May. The FBG Clout Boy is being held without bail after his associate, Filmon N. Rezene, 25, died from injuries sustained in a shootout, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Lil Jay, 22, was charged in Rezene’s death along with Rakeem ‘Butta’ Wilton, 20; Roshinda Young, 22; Monique Lane-Calhoun, 25; and Brittany Dupree, 20.
Rezene appeared in Jay’s “Faneto (GMix)” music video.
Rezene was shot in self-defense following an argument with a 22-year-old man in Calumet City. Lil Jay, Rezene and the group allegedly went to purchase marijuana from the 22-year-old man, but an argument ultimately erupted. The group left and returned with a firearm provided by Rezene’s girlfriend Young.
The 22-year-old was shot four times but was also armed and fired back at Rezene, who was struck “several” times, prosecutors told the Sun-Times.
Lil Jay, Young, Lane-Calhoun and Butta were arrested at the scene after police spoke with the 22-year-old victim and witnesses. Police later arrested Dupree after spotting her leaving Lil Jay’s apartment with a bag of handguns, including two used in the shooting.
Rezene died May 15 from his injuries in Stroger Hospital.
Lil Jay has long expressed confidence that him and Butta would be exonerated of all charges.
“I’m finna be back down,” Jay said in a recorded phone call. “Me and Butta finna be back down in no time.”
A photo of Lil Jay surfaced onto IG of himself good health in a jail suit during visitation in Cook County.
