Meek Mill had to have known this was coming. The Philly rapper was met boos after making his way to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto Tuesday night.
It’s not known for certain if Meek was booed for dissing Drake or if it was because he arrived late. The “Dreams Worth More Than Money” rapper was scheduled to perform at 8:00 p.m., but didn’t arrive until after 10 p.m. because he was detained at the border.
Toronto Chancellor Norm Kelly told Meek Mill last Thursday he was barred from entering Canada following remarks he made about Drake.
“You’re no longer welcome in Toronto, @MeekMill,” Norm wrote.
Meek wasn’t pleased with Norm’s tweet.
“Aye white man @norm what gives you the audacity to tell me I can’t come somewhere over me voicing my opinion! U sound like a thug lol,” Meek Mill responded.
Norm then backtracked on his statement.
“Aye American @MeekMill. Didn’t say don’t come. Just puzzled why’d diss a Canadian hero a week before coming to his city,” he wrote.
Meek’s night didn’t get any better after Drizzy dropped ether-like record “Back To Back.”
