Interscope artist Chief Keef was arrested Monday afternoon after being found in possession of marijuana in his hotel room.
The Chicago native was arrested at the LeMeridan Hotel at 111 Perimeter Center West in Dunwoody, north of Atlanta, a spokesman for the Dunwoody Police Department told the Chicago Tribune.
Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Farelle Cozart, was booked in the DeKalb County Jail at 4:37 p.m. and released on his own recognizance around 3:20 a.m. today, the Tribune reports.
The “I Don’t Like” rapper issued a statement via his Twitter account.
“Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County jail In Atlanta Mad As fuck,” he wrote.
The rapper posted his mug shot onto his Instagram account.
