Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested in New York’s LaGuardia Airport after officials discovered his four-finger ring in his luggage, which mistook for brass knuckles.
2 Chainz told MTV News “they tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag. “
“It was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewelry for a weapon and stuff,” he said.
2 Chainz was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, MTV News reports.
The “Riot” rapper was kept in jail for eight to nine hours. Authorities kept the rapper’s jewelries, while he plead guilty to a lesser charge.
