Tink Talks Police Brutality and Racial Inequality In New Song ‘Tell The Children’

Tink hit the world with a thought-provoking single listeners should study and debate. Her single “Tell The Children” comes following the controversial grand jury decision that decided not to indict Ferguson officer Darren Wilson on charges of murdering Mike Brown.

Tink’s Timbaland-produced record is just as controversial as she discusses uncomfortable topics.

Tink poetically raps, “They profile us/Then they wonder why they grow up being prejudice and so violent/It trickles down from the rich to the poor/They a f-ck with you because they can’t believe that it’s yours/Registration? Give these f-cking streets motivation/They wanna take us out so they start making allegations/I’m fed up/Police coming so we sped up/My nana told me ‘f-ck 12, keep your head up.”

The 19-year-old Chi Town songstress is not done there.

“King died for us n-ggas living in poverty/50 years later, we still don’t have equality?” she raps,

Tink continues to show her versatility on records. This single is no different. Listen below.
