13-Year-Old Innocent Boy Shot In Neck After Fight Breaks Out In Chicago

A 13-year-old boy was the unintended victim of a shooting Friday in South Side Chicago.

The boy was shot after a fight broke out between two people inside a gas station in the Gresham neighborhood around 4 p.m., the Chicago Sun Times reports.

A third person not involved in the fight was responsible for the shooting. He waited for the fight to end and then took out a weapon and fired shots, hitting a 28-year-old man in the left ankle. The man was also an unintended victim of the shooting.

The boy was sitting on a CTA bus when the shooter fired shots in the bus’s direction, striking him in the neck.

The boy was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
