Two suspects have been arrested for the murder of Chinx after nearly three years. Chinx, whose real name is Lionel Pickens, was shot and killed at age 31 in Queens on May 17, 2015.
Fox 5 New York’s Lisa Evers was on scene to witness suspects Jamar Hill, 26, and Quincy Homere, 32, being brought into the 107th NYPD Precinct.
“Quincy, why did you do it? Why did you do it?” she asks the first suspect who has his face buried in his palms while he is led into the precinct.”
Evers also questioned Damar to who was also led into the precinct by police.
“Damar, why did you do it? What do you say to Chinx’s widow? What do you say to his kids?” she asked.
The two men face a five-count indictment on charges of second-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced, according to the New York Post.
They both face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
Friends and family celebrated what would’ve been Chinx’s 34th birthday on Monday, Dec. 4.
Chinx, born Lionel Pickens, was driving on Queens Boulevard around 4:30 a.m. with an unidentified passenger in his Porshce when another vehicle pulled up and opened fire. Chinx’s passenger was shot twice in the back and is currently in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.
At this time, NYPD announced they had lead on who was behind Chinx’s fatal shooting. An IG user under account “Teamshabbaoffical” wrote, “I told him we would catch him rest in piss b*tch.”
