50 Cent Says Floyd Mayweather Can Read

50 Cent is falling back on accusations that Floyd Mayweather can’t read. Fif appeared on Power 105’s Angie Martinez show to say that the boxing champ does indeed posses literacy skills. He also provided listeners some backdrop into what led to the friction between himself and Mayweather.

“Champ can read,” he said. “He can read. I don’t want to hurt him, but he do things that agitates me. He do things to aggravate me a little bit. His personality… I look at him like my little brother, too. My younger brother, but he’ll pick at you like ‘You ain’t bigger than me.’”

Fif said he was upset with words Mayweather made about him, Nelly and T.I. during an interview with mlive.com

Mayweather said the abovementioned artists have not experienced his longevity of success.

“God has blessed me with an unbelievable talent, with fast feet, fast hands, unbelievable defense and a very, very sharp mind. So I’m thankful for that. Of course, hip-hop artists, they come and go. They come and go. But I’m still here,” Mayweather said.

Fif claims to know more embarrassing facts about Mayweather.

“I know so much you should never play with me,” he said. “He know better. There’s so many things I can do to him like talk about and other people would look at him completely different after that.”

Fif combined with the help Power 105’s The Breakfast Club set off a firestorm after revealing Mayweather’s illiteracy.

Charlamagne Tha God aired unreleased audio of Mayweather struggling to read a radio drop on his show.

But the boxing champ responded to their jokes with a simple IG post of two eight-figure check payments from his last fighting bouts.

“Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless,” he wrote.

Fif shot back at Floyd, angrily telling him he, too, has money.

Fif posted a meme onto IG of Mayweather attempting to read Dr. Seuss’ famous children’s book “Cat In The Hat.”

“This is training camp stay focused champ.Stop calling around asking people to say you can read fool,” the caption on his post read.

Fif then posted an image of Mayweather and Harry Potter side by side in a main event matchup.

“Champ your first lost is to Harry Potter, Damn boy lol.” Fif wrote in his cap

Fif initially got the ball rolling after challenging Mayweather to an ALS challenge. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has picked up steam all throughout social media with its participants dumping water on their head to raise awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

But Fif, on the other hand, added a different twist to his challenge.

“This is a special ALS ELS challenge for you Floyd,” he said. “If you can read one full page of a Harry Potter book n-gga, I’d give $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want to.”

Fif posted several memes taking jabs at Mayweather’s reading deficiency.

“DAMN I CAN’T READ THAT WHOLE PAGE NOW. f-ck you 50. Lmao

“N-gga we been here 40 minutes you can’t read that,” the captions on his posts read.

Fif also got late-night talk show personality Jimmy Kimmel in on the action.

“I just got a call from my man Jimmy Kimmel,” Fif said. “Jimmy said if Floyd accepts the challenge, then he’ll put it on the actual show. We don’t want to put pressure on you. We know you can’t pronounce those words in a Harry Potter book, so we gon let you read ‘Cat In The Hat.’”
