An elderly Chicago woman was shot Wednesday night in the city’s Southwest Side while waiting at a stop sign, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The woman, 76, suffered a gunshot wound to the back, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Witnesses, according to ABC 7, say shots rang out from a passing vehicle.
The woman was able to drive two miles before stopping at Gage Park. She is currently in stable condition at Stroger Hospital.
Police have no suspects in custody.
