The boyfriend left in charge of caring for baby Amierah Roberson has admitted to killing the toddler, Fox 32 reports. The mother was at work during the child’s disappearance.

James Harris, 23, reportedly told investigators he killed the baby in his apartment before dumping her body in a wooden area in south suburban Riverdale.

Harris initially told investigators he left the child unattended for a short while only to return and find the child gone.

Amierah’s death is ruled a homicide as a result of subdural hematoma and closed head injuries due to an assault, the Cook County medical examiner’s officer told the Chicago Tribune.

News of baby Amierah’s death stuck a chord in Durk who slammed the child’s killer via an IG post.

“Killllllll him when y’all see em don’t call police put 9 in hiss face on my kids,” the father of three wrote.



Bernadette Madison, Amierah’s grandmother, is finding it difficult to come to terms with news of her granddaughter’s death.

“I’m still trying to absorb it all,” she told ABC 7. “I know it’s true, but again I’m still in awe and disbelief.”

Investigators, according to NBC Chicago, are questioning the mother and boyfriend.
