Marketing one’s music has become very intricate especially in this age of social media. Artists in Hip Hop have always utilized beef records to get their names out there. Chi Breeze is taking a different approach.

Chi Breeze opted to use his talents and influence in a creative away to promote his artistry. The “Victorious” rapper is tapped the influence of Chi Town’s youths to spread his brand.

“I feel teenagers and young adults have the biggest voice and opinion,” he said. “So my logic was let me greet the personality with my brand and music.”

Chi says it took “actual talent and smart campaigns” to generate word of mouth before diss records grew in popularity.

Chicago, he said, had lost touch with these tactics.

“I felt it would be something different for the city,” he said.

Chi went to Dunbar High School, Bogan Computer Technical High School and Lane Tech College Prep to hand out free copies of his “Fake Shyt Not Included” mixtape. Chi says the hard copy contains two bonus tracks that will appear on his upcoming “Fake Shy Not Included Pt. 2” project slated to drop in August.

“Chicago bring the highest murder rate, especially toward rappers,” he said. “The students gave respect towards the event.”
