Chicago Artist Smylez Defines A ‘Real N----’

Chicago artist Smylez occasionally uses social media as a platform to drop street knowledge.

The “Watch Me Go Retarded” rapper recently voiced his concern on today’s misinterpretation of the phrase “Real N----.”

“The term ‘Real N----’ is f----- up these days, n----- think cuz they in the feild they sum real n-----, noooo surviving the feild is what makes yuh a real n----!” the Bricksquad O69 native explained via his Facebook account.

Smylez expressed progressing oneself should be one’s aim. Smylez said there are some individuals who reject progression to prove how tough they are.

“A n---- who aint have shyt to lose who survived the streets and made it out the hood is a “Real N----,” he wrote. “If yuh got supportive parents and was gettin straight A’s in college and drop out to hang with dumb n----- and then end up gettin locked up for 30 years trynna prove you tough knowing you have 3 kids to raise and a girlfreind who gone leave yuh cuz yuh gone is not the term “Real N----” Thats called a ‘Dumb N----’.”
