Chicago Man Charged With The Murder Of Twista’s Security Guard



A Chicago man has been charged in the shooting death of famed rapper Twista’s security guard Davy Easterling, according to CBS Chicago.

Matthew X. Jackson, 25, was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery in the Feb. 21 murder.

Easterling, 31, was found shot dead and burned in a fire inside his home. Easterling suffered gunshot wounds to his throat and chest, according to ABC 7.

Twista aided in the search efforts for Easterling after he was discovered missing. He created several social media posts calling for anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

The “Rain On Me” rapper posted a photo of a young Easterling to his IG account with a caption, reading, “A close friend of mine has been missing for the past 48hrs, his name I 6’9 he does security work for us. If you have any information on where he is please call 888-679-9611. We are all worried and pray for his safe return.”



Twista later posted more recent image of Easterling to his IG account. The caption on the post, read, “Here sum better pics of my homie 6’9, his real name is Davy easterling. If y’all have any info on the big homie call 888-679-9611.”



Twista later mourned Easterling’s loss upon hearing news of his demise.

“#RIP Davy Easterling aka 6’9 I have lost too many good friends to these streets,” Twista wrote in a caption on IG.
