Police officers were involved in shootings that killed two men in separate incidents earlier this week.

Roshad McIntosh, 19, was fatally shot Sunday after allegedly pointing a gun at a police officer. A 9 mm handgun was recovered at the scene, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Desean Pittman, 20, was gunned down that same day after police responded to a call of gunshots in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Pittman was involved in a shooting that left three people wounded.

Police found Pittman standing near the body of 22-year-old Amelio Johnson when they ordered him to drop his weapon. Police opened fired on Pittman when he pointed his weapon at them.

Johnson was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other two victims are currently in good condition at the hospital.

Pittman was an alleged member of the Gangster Disciples street gang. Footage circulated around the net in the past year of Pittman involved in a fight on a bus with a rival gang member.
