Chief Keef Makes Gucci Mane His Own Glo Man Character

Chief Keef paid homage to Gucci Mane by having a Glo Gang character designed in the Bricksquad 1017 frontman’s image.

The animated Glo Gang character is somewhat a spitting image of Gucci as it features the “Darker” rapper’s facial tattoos, including the infamous ice cream cone.

Sosa posted the animated character to IG with a caption calling for the embattled MC’s freedom.

“Free Wop,” the caption on the post read.

It was in May 2013 when Sosa signed onto Gucci’s 1017 label.

Gucci confirmed news of the signing, writing, “Chief Keef newest member of Bricksquad 1017 bmg gbe mpa #turnup.”

Chief Keef retweeteed Gucci’s tweet with the confirming phrase, “SQUAD.”

With his new business move, Chief Keef wrote, “Smh Ima Seventeen Year Old Legend!”

Chief Keef excitingly tweeted his affiliation his new team.

“#WhatTimeItIs?1017,” he wrote.

Chief Keef and Gucci collaborated on the track “Darker.”

It will be sometime before the two artists collaborate on any new music.

Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in May.

The 33-year-old Dirty South rapper reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors to serve three years and three months in prison. He faced a maximum of 10 years in jail after being arrested on two counts of felony gun possession.

The “I Heard” rapper was arrested Friday, Sept. 14 after authorities found him in an erratic state with a Glock 40-caliber handgun and 11 rounds of ammunition, according to court documents obtained by AJC. Davis was discovered two days before on Sept. 12 with a Taurus 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition.

Gucci will be sentenced in July.
