ReeseMoneyBagz is a well-known artist on Chicago’s underground Hip Hop scene. Reese’s talents caught the attention of Soulja Boy who flew the East Side drill rapper out to Los Angeles to work on his debut mixtape “Anything’s Possible.”
Reese’s project title has special meaning.
“I chose ‘Anything’s Possible’ cause I think anything’s possible,” he said. “…Anything’s possible if you put your mind to it, put your work ethic to it… you can do anything you want in life. That’s how I feel.”
The Moose Block native says he’s “almost done” with the project.
“I’m just waiting on a couple features,” he said. “They coming through like around this week. It’s close to completion. I say it’s about 95 percent ready.”
Reese’s boasts the music on his project will be hardcore and show his progression on the underground scene.
“They should expect to see me rise from this s**t,” he said. “They should expect hard as drill music. …They way I spit, my whole flow. They should expect me to get bigger off this mixtape. All my new s**t on there. Motherf*****s ain’t really been seeing like the real work. I been throwing out little videos – teasing em – but I ain’t really hit em with a mixtape yet.”
Reese says he’s keeping the features a secret for the time being.
Reese says being in Cali has helped his artistry.
“Cali expanded a lot of s**t for me,” he said. “When I came out here, I was hanging around a lot of different motherf*****s, not just all hood people. I’m seeing all different kinds of artists with they whole different flows. …That made think everything ain’t gotta be drill even though I’m a drill rapper. That’s image I put for myself cause that’s the s**t I do and that’s the s**t I live.”
Reese’s “Anything’s Possible” project doesn’t have a set release date, but is slated to drop soon.
