Tiny Lister, Jr., better known to all as “DeBo”, recently told TMZ, a celebrity news website, that Chris Tucker was going to meet with Ice Cube for talks about a new Friday movie. Tucker, who played “Smokey” in the original film, didn’t join subsequent projects with Ice Cube for the series due to religious reasons.

Chris Tucker’s recent financial woes may serve as part of the reason he wants jump back on board. Ice Cube has even most recently talked to John Witherspoon to reprise his role as Cube’s father Willie Jones, BET.com reports.
