Diddy’s Son Justin Combs Breaks Silence After Father’s Arrest In UCLA Kettlebell Incident

Justin Combs is expressing support for his father amid the mogul’s legal woes. Diddy is accused of beating Sal Alosi with a kettlebell weight at the Acosta Athletic Training Complex Monday afternoon.

“I thank G-d for having a father that’s always there for me… Love you pops!” the caption on the young Combs’ IG post read.

Diddy is alleging he was defending himself from UCLA assistant football coach Sal Alosi during their violent confrontation.

Nathalie Moar, Combs Enterprises Senior Vice President, issued a statement on the mogul’s behalf to the L.A. Times.

“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed,” the statement said.

Diddy was arrested on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats and once count of battery, according to the Washington Post. He was later released after posting $50,000 bail.

TMZ reports Diddy took issue with the strengths coach for screaming at Justin during a strength and conditioning session. Justin is a defensive back on the Bruins’ football team.

Bruins Head Coach Jim Mora issued a statement on the matter:

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” Mora said. “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

“We are aware of the reports and are looking into the matter,” UCLA director of media relations Phil Hampton added.

Justin, a 5-foot-7 redshirt junior, played in a combined seven games for the Bruins over the past two seasons as a reserve in the secondary while also playing on special teams, according to USA Today. He has four career tackles.
