DJ L knows a thing or two about music and has orchestrated a soundtrack for the Windy City’s vibrant rap culture. The Chi Town super-producer is accusing rapper Travis Scott of swagger jacking Young Chop’s sound.
DJ L posted a video onto IG of Travis Scott in the studio with Metro Boomin.
“See, this is why Chicago cannot f*****g prevail,” DJ L said. “Shout out Metro, though. This n***a tryna steal Chop f*****g sound.”
Young Chop was unaware of this and soon chimed in.
“…That’s crazy I did not see this,” he said.
Chop recently revealed that people who steal his production style is his biggest pet peeve.
“When n****s see a trend and they follow it, I hate that sh*t,” he said.
Chop said he also noticed a lot of people biting DJ Mustard’s sound.
“Motherf*****s just following the whole super trend. N****s was following my trend, Mike Will trend… I’m like bro can yall think of something else and stop tryna just do what n****s do,” Chop said. “Let a n***a eat. Yall n****s tryna take a motherf****r food. I lost a lot of money cause n****s wanted to sound like me.”
Chop said he may have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars from people copying his style.
