The spotlight is undeniably on Chicago’s hot music scene. Many young artists have gone on to secure record deals or have successful independent careers. Tink, a double threat as an MC and singer, recently signed a deal with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group imprint, which obtains distribution through Epic Records.
Edai and Famous Seven of Team600 are very much familiar with Tink’s work. The two artists collaborated on Tink’s “Blunts & Ballads” album on songs “”What U Driving” and “Hate On Me,” respectively.
Edai and Seven recently offered their thoughts on Tink’s come up during an interview with Zack TV.
“That’s a good look for the City,” Edai said. That’s definitely a good look.”
“That’s a whole different caliber,” Seven added.
But Edai hopes Tink can use her success to give back to the City.
“It’s just about her and getting on and what she’s gonna do back for the City,” he said. “Is she gon f-ck with it. That’s what I be looking at. Like n-ggas who be getting on, what they gonna do back for the n-ggas who here. N-ggas who they really f-ck with. N-ggas who was doing sh-t for them. M-therf-ckers be forgetting about that sh-t. That sh-t be crazy.”
