Edai (Team 600) Speaks On Smylez’s Death

Edai and Smylez were once friends before the streets separated them. Edai put his pride aside to mourn the loss of Smylez.

Smylez, born Izerrick Aigbokhan, died after suffering a heart attack Thursday.

Edai took to IG remember the good times he had with Smylez.

The caption on his post read, “Remember All Dem Days And Nights We Spent In Yo Auntie Basement Making That Forgotten Mixtape Then You Produced That Gucci S--- Everything After That Was History Its F--- Up The Way The Streets divided Us From Making Great Music We Was Just TALKIN Bout Bringing It Back together Rest Up Kid.”

Edai is referring to his “Gucci” record, featuring Chief Keef. Smylez produced this record.

Smylez’s death sent shockwaves through the Hip Hop community. Many artists took to social media to mourn Smylez’s loss, including Young Chop, Killa Kellz, Laka Films, King Yella and many more:
