The jury that will determine Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s fate has been selected. The jury consists of seven women and five men.
But one of the jurors is not too confident in performing her civic duty. One was juror was reduced to tears upon her selection.
“We have one open rebellion,” Brooklyn federal court Judge Brian Cogan said minutes after announcing the jury selection, according to the New York Post.
The crying juror “was in tears as she left the courtroom,” he said.
Cogan said the woman’s tears weren’t going to let her out of service, saying, he didn’t see any “real hardship there.”
El Chapo’s attorney Jeffrey Lichtman agreed, saying, “My concern is that if one gets off with a few tears, we’re going to have a trail of tears.”
