Fabyon Harris, a senior guard for Texas A&M, is doing well following an on court health scare that had him rushed to the hospital Saturday, according to Aggie Sports.
Harris, 23, fainted on court during a morning shoot around prior to the Aggies’ game against Ole Miss.
Harris posted an image of himself in a hospital bed to his IG account with a caption, reading, “The #DOCs say this will be the last Test on my [heart] I just [pray] All is well [basketball] I will be back on the court soon as they figure Out what is going on with my [heart] #NLMB big s/o to @pistolpete2496 for taking care of me why I been in this crazy place s/o to all my teammates in all the coaches in there wife’s.”
Harris hails from 78th and 79th street over East in Chicago. Harris reps N.L.M.B. and has a “Fazoland” tattoo in full display on his neck.
The ink is in honor of slain brother Fazion Robinson. Robinson was murdered on April 12, 2010 in an alleged gang-related shooting. He was 18.
Harris is close friends with rising Chicago rappers and N.L.M.B. affiliates Lil Bibby and Lil Herb.
Bibby gave Harris a special shout out months ago on IG.
“I’m proud of you cuz @fab_blessed078,” the caption on the “Free Crack” rapper’s post read.
Harris has overcome a lot of adversity in his life and has a story worthy of a motion picture script.
Harris, who attended Hyde Park Academy, suffered tragedy with the loss of his mother, brother and cousin, NBC Sports reports.
His troubles continued while attending Howard Junior College when he and two teammates were arrested on a theft of property charge.
Harris was able triumph over his shortcomings and earn an athletic scholarship to Texas A&M following a stellar season at College of Southern Idaho.
Aggies Sports reports Harris has played in 26 games, averaging 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds. He started six of those games.
