Adrien Broner shocked world Friday night following his fight with Ashley Theophane when he challenged Floyd Mayweather to a fight

Broner was upset with comments Floyd made about him in the media.

“I’m a man that learns sh*t from physical activity,” he said. “Me and Floyd, he gotta see me. Point blank period. I’m a man at the end of the day, and I come from the streets, the trenches man, from the bottom from nothing. I’m talking about water and cornflakes. I will never let a man disrespect me like that, so he gotta see me. I don’t care if we spar or fight, let’s get it on.”



Floyd offered his thoughts on Broner’s comments during an interview with FightHype.com.

“Well, today is April Fools, so that was the biggest joke of the night,” he said. “I want him to continue go out there and fight, win. And what’s important for Adrien is not just winning. Life after boxing. That’s what’s very, very important. I can remember I was young and I never had a Floyd Mayweather to steer me the right way. Don’t be like me Adrien, be better than me. He’s been listening. I spoke to him today, which is a good thing. I just want the best for these kids. It’s so many huge fights out there. You got guys like Terrance Crawford, Shawn Porter. It’s some fights out there. Those are just two names. Of course, we’ll see what the future holds for Adrien Broner. I wish him nothing but the best.”
