P. Rico undeniably took over 2013 with the release of his viral “Hang With Me” music video. Rico’s visual currently boasts close to 5 million views on Youtube. But music video director of Rico’s hit song, FlyTy, revealed during an interview with KollegeKidd.com that he’s not a fan of the record.
“I don’t like that song,” he said. “I don’t like that song to this day.”
Ty went on to explain that he didn’t foresee the success of the record at the time.
“I’m 31. A lot of this sh*t, I just don’t understand. I ain’t got dreads, so I don’t know how to turn up to that sh*t. I know music. I listen to music. I give every n***a a shot. I just couldn’t get it. I know the song word for word. But it ain’t on repeat in my car. That turned out to be one of my biggest videos. That’s why n****s don’t even listen to me. I be like, ‘Man, that sh*t whack.’ It’s like ‘F**k it, we shooting it anyway.’ Everything I say whack take off.”
