The Sigma Pi Fraternity chapter at Illinois Wesleyan University has been revoked following the death of a member, The Associated Press reports.
Brandon Landau, 18, reportedly died from hypothermia with acute alcohol intoxication as a contributing factor after attending an off-campus fraternity event.
The Grand Council of Sigma Pi Fraternity has suspended the chapter for at least three years for failing to abide by the fraternity’s rules and regulations.
The chapter can be reinstated in May 2015.
