Boosie is still in the hospital recovering from his cancer surgery. TMZ learned half of Boosie’s kidney was removed in the life saving operation. Boosie says doctors believe they got all of the cancer in the nephrectomy procedure. Boosie, who doesn’t have insurance, had to pay $90,000 out-of-pocket. Boosie is set to be in a cancer rehab facility for at least three weeks.
The Baton Rouge rapper took to IG earlier this week to provide fans an update on his condition.
His post read, “I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie Kidney… Thanks to all Boosie family and friends and all my real Boosie fans for all the prayers from #badazzmusicsyndicate…I am a #cancersurvivor.”
Boosie requested prayers from his supporters the day of his surgery.
“To all my family, fans n supporters I really appreciate the love n concern that’s been giving to me since I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Tommorrow I go n for surgery n I need prayers for a great surgery n rehabilitation at the McAnderson cancer center GodGotme,” the caption on his post read.
Boosie first announced he was a suffering from cancer in late November.
“I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayforboosie,” he wrote on IG before deleting his post.
Boosie is recording a song about his ailment. Boosie posted a video of himself in the studio laying down the track.
Boosie raps, “It’s hard to make a n***a think strong. I probably need to put some pink on. This sh*t probably gon make my team strong.”
